Lovable (5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month) and Bolt.new (300K tokens a day, 1M a month) both give you a daily AI allowance and let you publish a live site on their own subdomain for free. None of the free plans that state their domain terms let you connect a custom domain. Figures below are from each tool's official pricing page as of September 29, 2026.

What "free" actually buys you from a prompt
Most prompt-first builders here meter the AI more tightly than the website. You get a small daily or monthly allowance of credits, tokens or messages, and each prompt spends some of it. Three other limits decide whether a free site is usable: whether you can publish it at all, whether it stays on the vendor's subdomain (yourname.lovable.app, yoursite.webflow.io and so on), and whether a vendor badge is shown on the live page. Every plan here that states its domain terms puts a custom domain behind a paid plan (v0, Replit and Figma do not say either way). Hostinger and Squarespace have no free plan and offer 14-day trials, and 10Web lets you start free but lists only paid plans.

Best for a free live site from one prompt: Lovable and Bolt.new
Lovable's free plan gives 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month, plus a daily chat allowance, 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI credits a month for apps that use its backend or AI features. Lovable's own examples price "Build me a landing page, use images" at 1.70 credits and "Make the button gray" at 0.50, so one day's grant covers a first draft and a few edits at those example rates. Publishing from the Publish dialog is free, the site goes live on a lovable.app address and does not expire, and Git sync to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket is included. On free you cannot edit code in Lovable, download code, connect a custom domain or remove the "Edit with Lovable" badge; Pro adds those from $25 a month. Bolt.new's free plan gives 300K tokens a day and 1M a month, public and private projects, website hosting with up to 333k web requests, and unlimited databases. Free sites carry Bolt branding and there is no custom domain until Pro at $25 a month, which starts at 10M tokens a month.
Best for polished marketing pages: Framer, Webflow and Relume
These three start from a design canvas rather than a code project, which suits portfolios and landing pages. Framer's free plan includes 500 AI credits to try its agents, a free Framer domain, 1 GB of bandwidth, 1,000 pages and 10 CMS collections; Framer describes Free as ideal for non-commercial use and requires a paid plan for a custom domain (Basic is listed at $10 a month with yearly billing). Webflow's Starter plan publishes to a webflow.io subdomain with 2 static pages, 1 GB of bandwidth, 50 form submissions and Webflow AI, but shows the "Made in Webflow" badge; Basic at $15 a month billed yearly adds a custom domain. Relume's free plan has limited AI usage that it describes as enough for one full website a month, free hosting on relume.live with 1,500 monthly page views and 20 form submissions, and a Relume badge that is always shown.
Best for apps, not just pages: v0, Replit and Base44
If your prompt describes an app with logins or data, these fit better than site builders. v0's free plan includes $5 of monthly credits, a 7 message a day limit, deploys to Vercel, Design Mode and GitHub sync; Plus is $30 per user a month. Replit's Starter plan gives daily Agent credits up to a monthly cap, but only Lite build, and one free published app that automatically goes down after 30 days and shows a "Made with Replit" badge; Core is $20 a month or $18 billed yearly. Base44's free plan includes 25 message credits and 100 integration credits a month, up to 5 apps, and authentication, database and analytics; connecting a domain comes with Starter at $16 a month billed yearly.
Build free, pay to go public or use your domain: Wix, Readdy and Durable
Wix lets you build with its AI website builder and its Aria agent for free, and a free site lives at a username.wixsite.com/sitename address; connecting your own domain and removing Wix branding need a Premium plan, and Wix notes that plan prices vary by location. Readdy's free plan gives 250 credits a month and 2 projects but includes 0 hosted sites, so you need Starter ($25 a month, or $15 a month billed yearly) to put a site live on Readdy with a custom domain. Durable's free plan is a private preview only: its durable.site subdomain, a custom domain and removing Durable branding all start with Launch at $22 a month billed yearly or $25 monthly.
No free plan: Hostinger, 10Web and Squarespace
Hostinger states plainly that its website builder is not free. It offers a 14-day free trial that includes quick site creation from a description, and publishing requires a paid plan; Premium was listed at $2.99 a month on a 48-month term ($143.52 up front), renewing at $10.99 a month, with 5 AI credits as a one-time gift. 10Web lets you start generating for free, but every plan on its pricing page is paid; AI Starter is $10 a month per website billed yearly ($120 for 12 months) with 100 AI credits a month. Squarespace offers 14 days free, then Basic at $25 a month or $19 a month billed yearly.
How to choose
Want a public link today for $0? Use Lovable or Bolt.new for anything with logic, or Framer, Webflow or Relume for a designed marketing page, and accept the vendor subdomain and badge. Plan to use your own domain? No free plan here that states its domain terms includes one, so compare the cheapest paid plan rather than the free tier: Hostinger Premium has the lowest confirmed US sticker price at $2.99 a month on a 48-month term (renewing at $10.99), Framer Basic is $10 a month and Webflow Basic $15 a month, both billed yearly, while Lovable and Bolt.new Pro are $25 a month. Need the code? Lovable's free plan syncs to Git, v0 syncs with GitHub, and Bolt.new's pricing page does not mention code export for Free. Building a real app with users and data? Look at Lovable, Bolt.new, Base44 or v0 before site builders.
What we don't know
Pricing pages do not say whether v0, Framer, Base44 or Readdy show a badge on free sites, whether v0, Replit or Figma allow a custom domain on free, or whether Base44's free plan includes publishing, so we have left those cells as not listed or not stated. Figma lists Make publishing on Starter only via Figma Community. We could not load current free-plan terms for Mixo, Dora or VibeCode, so they are not on this page. Wix displayed location-adjusted prices when we loaded its plans page, so we do not quote a US figure. 8B markets itself as a 100% free AI website builder with no sign-up and says you download the site to host elsewhere; we have only its own page as a source, so it is not in the table. Credit costs per prompt vary with how much each request changes, so any estimate of "sites per month" is rough.
