The Best Carrd Alternatives in 2026

By Ethan Halfhide · Updated November 2, 2026

Last verified 2026-11-02

The best Carrd alternatives are Wix for a multi-page step up, Framer for design-heavy sites, Squarespace for polished templates, Unicorn Platform for product pages and Mixo for generated business sites. Carrd itself is a one-page builder with a free plan for up to three sites and Pro plans from $9 a year, as of November 2026.

TL;DR: Top pick

Wix: Wix is the closest step up if one page is no longer enough. It builds multi-page sites, has a free plan with Wix ads and a wixsite.com address, and its AI website builder generates the structure, pages, layout and copy from a description that you then edit by hand or with Aria. Real limits: a custom domain needs a paid plan, with Light at $17 a month on a yearly plan paid in full as of November 2026 (Wix's blog), which is far above Carrd's yearly prices. Our Wix alternatives page covers the other direction.

Why people look for a Carrd alternative

The best Carrd alternatives depend on what you need beyond one page. Wix is the closest step up with a free start and AI first draft, Framer suits design-heavy sites, Squarespace is the polished paid option, Unicorn Platform targets product pages, and Mixo generates business sites from a description. Prices are as of November 2026 and come from the makers' own pages. For a wider list, see our best AI website builders ranking, or Squarespace AI alternatives if Squarespace is your starting point.

What Carrd does and where it stops

Carrd describes itself as a free platform for building simple, responsive one-page sites. The free plan allows up to three sites per account. Pro plans are priced per year as of November 2026: Pro Lite $9 for 3 sites, Pro Standard $19 for 10 sites and Pro Plus $49 for 25 sites (larger site bundles cost more). All Pro plans remove Carrd branding. Custom domains, forms, widgets, embeds and analytics start on Pro Standard, and password protection and site downloads are on Pro Plus. Carrd also offers a 7-day Pro trial with no card. The edges that send people elsewhere are the one-page format and, on the pages we read, no mention of AI features.

What we could not confirm

Carrd's home page and the intro of its Pro page say Pro starts from $19 a year, while the plan table on the Pro page lists a $9 Pro Lite tier without custom domains, so we list the tiers from the plan table. Unicorn Platform's pricing page shows two price figures per paid plan without a clear billing label. Framer says its prices are monthly and billed per the cycle chosen at checkout, without saying whether they are the yearly rates. Mixo's pricing page did not load for us. We did not verify any migration path out of Carrd.

How this page was put together

This page compares published information: the makers' own pricing and feature pages, fetched on 2 November 2026. We did not build sites with these tools, and nothing here is a test result. The order of the list reflects how well each option fits the page's stated criteria on paper, not a measured outcome. Where two of a maker's own pages disagree, or a page does not state something, we say so instead of guessing. Prices are as of November 2026 and can change.

    Framer

AI website builder and design agent for designers and teams, with CMS and hosting built in

Framer is the design-led alternative: its design agent builds layouts and sections on a canvas that you keep editing. The Free plan has no custom domain and lists 500 AI credits to try. Basic is listed at $10 a month with 30 pages and a free custom domain on yearly billing, and Pro at $30 a month, as of November 2026. Framer says all prices are monthly and billed according to the billing cycle selected at checkout, without saying whether these are the yearly rates, so confirm at checkout. See our Framer AI website builder review for its AI features.

    Best for:
Design-heavy sites on a canvas editor
    Pricing:
Free; Basic $10/mo, Pro $30/mo as listed, billing cycle set at checkout (as of Nov 2026)

    Squarespace

Template-led website builder with Blueprint AI, built-in commerce and a 14-day free trial

Squarespace has no free plan, only a 14-day free trial with no credit card. Its pricing page has a pay-annually and a pay-monthly price per plan (Basic is $19 a month paid annually and $25 a month paid monthly), with one year of free domain registration on available domains on annual plans, plus form blocks and newsletter blocks on every plan. Basic adds 10 one-time AI credits. It costs more than Carrd, but it is a full multi-page builder with a store option and a 2% fee on Basic store sales.

    Best for:
Polished multi-page sites with forms and a store option
    Pricing:
No free plan; 14-day trial; Basic $19/mo paid annually, $25/mo monthly (as of Nov 2026)

    Unicorn Platform

AI-powered no-code website and landing page builder for startups.

Unicorn Platform is aimed at SaaS products, apps, directories, blogs and personal pages, and says you can build a site or make changes with prompts. Its pricing page lists a free Lurker plan that allows 0 published websites, so you can build but not publish for free. Maker is the first plan with a custom domain and 1 published site, and Startup is the first plan that removes the Unicorn Platform badge. The pricing page shows two monthly figures per plan without labelling the billing period, so we do not quote them. Pages are unlimited on the paid plans listed.

    Best for:
Product or startup landing pages with prompt-based editing
    Pricing:
Free plan cannot publish; paid plans from Maker (see pricing page)

    Mixo

AI website builder that creates a small business site with contact forms from a short description

Mixo is an AI builder for small business sites: you describe your business and, per Mixo, it generates a site with pages, contact forms, a blog and SEO setup. Mixo says it offers a free plan with no credit card required. We could not read Mixo's pricing page today, so we do not quote paid prices or limits; check the current pricing page before you decide. It is a better fit for a business than for a personal link page.

    Best for:
A small business site generated from one description
    Pricing:
Free plan; paid prices not verified on 2 Nov 2026

Verdict

Wix is the best Carrd alternative for most people who have outgrown one page, because you can start free and add a custom domain on a paid plan. Choose Framer for design-heavy work, Squarespace for polished templates, Unicorn Platform for product or startup pages, and Mixo for a small business site generated from one description. Stay on Carrd if one page and a low yearly price are enough. This ranking comes from published pages, not from testing.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on why you are leaving. Wix is the closest step up for a multi-page site with a free start, Framer fits design-heavy work, Squarespace suits polished templates with no free plan, and Unicorn Platform targets product and startup pages. This ranking uses published information only, not tests.

Yes, with limits. As of November 2026, Wix and Framer have free plans without a custom domain, and Mixo says it has a free plan. Unicorn Platform has a free plan that cannot publish a site. Carrd itself lets you build up to three sites for free.

The usual reasons are the one-page format, the need for more pages, or wanting AI to draft the site. The Carrd pages we read describe one-page sites and do not mention AI features. If one page and a low yearly price are what you need, Carrd may still fit.

As of November 2026, Carrd Pro Lite is $9 a year and Pro Standard $19 a year, with custom domains starting on Pro Standard. Wix Light is $17 a month on a yearly plan paid in full, Framer Basic is listed at $10 a month (billing cycle chosen at checkout), and Squarespace Basic is $19 a month on annual billing or $25 paid monthly.

We did not find a documented migration path in the pages we read. Carrd lists site downloads on its Pro Plus plan, but we did not verify what the download contains or how another builder would use it. Plan to rebuild the page in the new tool.

Wix generates a site from a description, Framer has a design agent, Unicorn Platform says you can build or change a site with prompts, and Mixo generates a business site from a description. Squarespace includes AI credits on its plans.
