Wix
AI website builder with a free plan, drag-and-drop editing and 2000+ templates
About Wix
Wix is a hosted website builder. Its AI website builder creates a site from a prompt, and you can keep editing by drag and drop or with Aria, the built-in AI agent. Wix lists 2000+ templates plus built-in marketing and SEO tools, and you can add an online store, scheduling or a blog later. You can start for free with no credit card; connecting a custom domain, collecting payments online or accessing additional features needs a Premium plan. Wix ADI, its first-generation AI tool, was retired on November 10, 2024. As of October 2026 the Wix plans page lists Light at $17, Core at $29, Business at $39 and Business Elite at $159 a month for yearly subscriptions paid in full (US prices in USD, before tax).

Our verdict
Wix is a sound choice if you want to start free, build from a prompt and keep editing by drag and drop. Budget for a Premium plan once you need your own domain or online payments, and pick your template with care because a site cannot be switched to a different template later.
